After high school I enlisted in the Marine Corps and traveled the world, and then went to college in Michigan where I studied communications and fine art. After receiving a B.A. in Scientific and Technical Communications I spent the next six months thru-hiking the Appalachian Trail. When I finished hiking, I moved to Arizona and went to massage therapy school. After a year’s worth of training I moved back to Minnesota and stayed for four years working within the bodywork field. I eventually grew restless and felt the need to move on so, on a whim, drove out to Lake Tahoe. That’s where I’ve been living since.
I’ve been producing art since 1997, having experimented with an assortment of 2-dimensional mediums such as oils, acrylics, watercolors, inks, colored pencils, graphite, and gouache. But mostly I’ve been focused on pen & ink work these past few years, self-publishing a graphic novel, illustrated memoir, and a coloring book.
